Why are there leaves next to the cupcake? ‹Baked · Goods · Cakes · Cupcakes› is way too small, and the separation of ‹Baked› and ‹goods› is confusing. It doesn’t seem suited for use at a small size, some elements are hard to notice even on my screen (the dotted outlined circle).

The budget is 300. Yeah the leafs are spose to be wheat grass branch. But maybe it should be next to the cupcake. Thanks for the advice on the type! Will work on that! Anymore comments?

Redo this whole thing. The text is poorly rendered, the stars are poorly rendered, the fine line segments which is meant to connect those elements isn't even of the same radius ...even it's poorly rendered. The cake part of the cupcake looks like a turd and gets lost in the background color. Those branches whatever are incredibly lame.

There's nothing distinctive in this 'logo' worth paying for ...except of course how poorly it's designed.

But I kinda like the color palette ...

Yeah I just think everything gets lost and the branches do look pretty lame as well. But instead of bashing it all the way maybe give me suggestions? Even though i agree with you on most of everything.

You've got too much going on and the main elements — the cupcake and the bakery's name — are getting lost. And some elements like the bottom type and that dotted line are going to disappear when the logo is reproduced small. Simplify and work on improving the proportions.

And unless the client requests it, I'd avoid using wheat as a decorative element because there's a growing interest in gluten-free products. Even if the bakery doesn't do gluten-free now, they might in the future.

I made a super silly & sort of suggestive comment about 5star's client asking him to "make it bigger". I thought it was too silly even for me so I deleted it. But not be for 5star read and mentioned it.

Guilty as charged. But I want to know how you got a client in that industry, 5star. My clients are considerably less colorful.

It was a referral from one of my Hip Hop rapper clients ...who is totally colorful! And how I got that Hip Hop rapper as a client in the first place is an awesome story.

The forth rule of creating a great logo must somehow involve wording related to being inspired by the client and by their money?

I love it when clients refer someone. A new client with zero marketing effort. Plus it's nice to know they were pleased with the work.

as an in-house designer in a public service capacity, I can assure you, my clients have yet to hear about colour.
