We seem to have a match for the letters GELATO -- the letters are fuzzy so I can't say 100%-- in Annlie Extra Bold designed by Fred Lambert in 1966. This is a recreation of the 19th century fat faces which pushed the Didone style to the max for impact in advertising purposes. The style included extreme contrast between thick and thin strokes and a large scale lower case. Lambert is an outstanding designer and I prefer his version to most other recreations of the style.

Annlie is a very good call but don't know if it's a the one. A bigger sample may help. May be it's Sahara Bodoni...

Thanks for the bigger sample, Ryuk. It shows that what we are looking for is a fatface that is highlighted, spotlighted, or handtooled. The effect is shown in two Bodoni's: Bodoni Highlight and Spotlight but neither has the highlights in locations that match GELATO.
Alternatively, the logo designer could have started with Annlie Extra Bold, Sahara Bodoni or another version and edited to produce a highlighted GELATO.
