A font to use with Lyon Text?

Sebastian Villalonga

Hi guys,
I am doing a Literary Magazine, most probably with Lyon Text Font.
http://commercialtype.com/typefaces/lyon/lyon_text

Lyon will be used for Body Text.
Can you suggest which font can be used with? for headlines, subheads, notes, etc.

Thanks and Best,
S

I suggest Proxima Nova or Pluto Sans.

A more classic option: TheSans.

Lyon text has a high x height and short descenders and is a modern interpretation of a French oldstyle font. I would think either Whitney or Caspari would work well with this. Of the two, Caspari looks like a better match. The lower case "g" in Lyon text is hard to match.

Very interesting options here! thanks for the good info all variants looks good.
