Tips on matching The Sans with a serif font

Hi!
I would love your help with matching The Sans to a classic serif typeface. I'm thinking in the likes of Minion, Fairfield or Arno Pro.
What are you suggestions? Thoughts about the above mentioned? Seems like the Arno and The Sans has a huge difference in x-height...

At the risk of being too predictable, why not TheSerif? Or TheAntiqua?

Utopia and Kepler, both by Robert Slimbach, should work.
