(x) IBM Annual Report 2002 - Janson Text {Yves}

anonymous

What sans-serif font was used for IBM's Annual Report 2002 mini-site? (especially the narratives on top of the images)

i.e.,
http://www.ibm.com/annualreport/2002/day_2.htm
http://www.ibm.com/annualreport/2002/day_4.htm

Thank you very much,
Kevin

It's a good strategy. Makes you look like the arrogant fool correcting someone even when they're right... especially after all your boasting on the scoreboard threads! We could turn the Type ID Board into the Defame Yves Board.... hmmm.

Aaahh, but Colin I must confess: initially I thought it was Caslon. I'm but a wee Type ID amateur cutting my baby teeth among you fellas. And yes, Yves, some do say I'm tricky little fµ©ker

I was trying to bail you out there. Didn't work.

Nice job fooling the censors, as well.

And there I was, looking for a pixel font with that cool ampersand. Harrumph!

I was just joking, don't worry. It was a friendly jab, much like your boasting was friendly. (And you have the numbers on your side... haha.)

The narratives on top of the images? They're a serif
face, not a sans, if those are what you mean. Looks
like Janson Text, the 1985 revival by Adrian Frutiger,
based on Nicholas Kis' 1690 faces.

Trust me, it's Janson Text. I checked. ;P

Hooo, Nathan, tricky! Quickly edited your post, didn't ya?

> We could turn the Type ID Board into the Defame Yves Board...

Whoops, it appears I crossed a line here. I profusely
apologize for sounding like the arrogant bastard I actualy
am, and I'll try to behave in the future. Sorry Colin,
really didn't mean to (honestly). :/

I'm not doing such a good job in the absence of Stephen.
He grows more graceful and kind by the day, while I
slowly revert to snotty-nosed loud-mouthing. Damn.

hehe (quietly singing Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood)

Janson it is...
